The highschool referee who steered Andrew Johnson to cut his dreadlocks or forfeit is now threatening to sue … claiming he’s been DEFAMED and he’s demanding $100,000 in damages. 

The wrestling match made worldwide headlines when Johnson — who’s black — appeared humiliated when he was primarily pressured to cut his hair all by way of the Dec. 2018 match. 

The ref, Alan Maloney, has not reffed a single highschool wrestling match since … and he’s pissed — claiming he did nothing flawed. 

Really, Maloney believes he was merely following the ideas laid out by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Affiliation … and can NOT be matter to any type of punishment. 

In his letter, Maloney states his case … saying Johnson’s hair dimension violated the ideas. Maloney claims he gave Johnson time to get a hair masking, nonetheless Johnson did not have one.

So, in accordance with NJSIAA security, Maloney says “outfitted the wrestler with the time to related the deficiency” — aka, a haircut

As shortly on account of the video went viral, many people accused Maloney of understanding of racism and he feels the NJSIAA did nothing to related the narrative. 

Now, Maloney has fired off a letter to the NJSIAA saying he’s planning to take accredited movement on account of he feels the affiliation has participated in DEFAMING him, inflicting him to lose earnings and endure emotional distress. He’s claiming damages of $100okay. 

As for Johnson, he returned to the mat after the incident and licensed for the prestigious regional championships
